If holidaying in
Dubai, the chances are that your hotel resort or complex will
have on-site dining. It is also fair to assume that due to the
luxurious reputation of Dubai, that this dining experience
will be stunning; for example, the Atlantis hotel in Dubai is
Michelin starred.
It is, however, worth considering the culinary delights
outside of your hotel resort. By doing this, you can visit and
experience some of the amazing independent exclusive
restaurants that Dubai has spread throughout the city.
No matter what your taste or preferences, you will find an
exclusive high end restaurant in Dubai that will suit you. The
range of cuisine is, frankly, staggering, with a range dining
that will satisfy even the most fussy of eaters. Which
restaurant you choose depends on what type of cuisine and
delicacy you wish for, but one thing is uniform across all
restaurants; splendour, glamour and a stunning setting is
guaranteed.
For a more informal dining experience, a restaurant such as
the Fishmarket is ideally suited. As the name would imply, the
restaurant – which is serves food as both menu choice and
standard a la carte dining – serves predominantly seafood. The
Fishmarket is situated on the Bani Yas Road, with open dining
looking out on to the Dubai Creek. The chefs are South East
Asian, and are credited with the ability to mix and match
international cuisine to create a delicious blend of cultures.
On the more upscale side is the magnificent Noble House
restaurant. Serving mainly Chinese cuisine, this Raffles-based
restaurant was awarded the highly coveted Restaurant of the
Year 2008 Award by TimeOut's Dubai Restaurant Awards. And
recommendations don't come much higher than that! The Noble
House is a sumptuous mix of impressive and authentic Chinese
rituals – such as the lavish and complex tea ceremony – and
glorious food, all set in traditional Chinese-style
surroundings. It is situated on the 17th floor, offering
panoramic views of the Dubai skyline, making Noble House a
feast for both the mouth and the eyes.
The final mention goes to The Agency restaurant, a must visit
for any wine conisseur or even if you have just a passing fan
of wine. The menu features more than 70 wines, with 400
different varieties available, enough to tempt any palette.
Wine is served both by the glass and the bottle; the choice to
serve by the glass is unusual for a high end restaurant,
allowing you to enjoy the variations available. The cuisine is
predominantly tapas based, while the restaurant is set in chic
yet simple surroundings.
Essentially, whatever you want, the exclusive restaurants of
Dubai can provide. Always search the internet before visiting,
and you're sure to find something to suit even the most
individual of tastes. Dubai is full of restaurants, serving
both traditional fare as well as a range of international
cuisine that is arguably better than anything the home country
could serve! |
